Little marley with the orange patch above her eye

Marley had been missing since September, and her family had since moved away.  When Terrance was living with us, I dropped flyers around to see if anyone knew anything about him.. but instead received a text asking if we'd seen a little cat with an orange patch above her eye. My flatmates and I started looking, and would often see her outside catching mice or laying in the sun.

On the 23rd of December, I caught her, brought her inside and text her owners. They came and picked her up, just in time for Christmas...!!! So, so much love for kitty cats being reunited with their families.

Research on Rastafarian ecology and sustainability

"Around the globe, there are huge inequalities in the distribution of wealth. To many Rastas, nothing is more symbolic of the absurd abuse of funds and power than the space program. Rastafarians question how the West can morally justify the amount of money spent on space expeditions while the poor can hardly afford the basic necessities for survival. To a Rastafarian, a moon launch represents an abandonment of Earthly realities and of responsibilities to others on the planet."

Little black flowers that grow in the shower

A language full of wars and songs

The Morning Is Full

The morning is full of storm
in the heart of summer.

The clouds travel like whit handkerchiefs of goodbye,
the wind, travelling, waving them in its hands.

The numberless heart of the wind
beating above our loving silence.

Orchestral and dinive, resounding among the trees
like a language full of wars and songs.

Wind that bears off the dead leaves with a quick raid
and deflects the pulsing arrows of the birds.

Wind that topples her in a wave without spray
and substance without weight, and leaning fires.

Her mass of kisses breaks and sinks,
assailed in the door of the summer's wind.

christmas dinner for 30

Miles and I cooked a Christmas Dinner for 30 of our friends in Wellington tonight! Was a really lovely evening, so much great food, a really cute Secret Santa and suddenly, I feel so grown up.  Haha. What a success though! Mmmm... Lamb, chicken, ham stuffing, garlic portobello mushrooms, bacon wrapped asparagus, delicious couscous, roast vegetables, gravy, homemade bread rolls, a walnut/pear/parmesan/rocket salad and a yummy green salad... super proud we pulled it off!!!!!
