We forgot they were just
children; influenced and affected,
because they're on T.V.,
competing
- an alternative reality, which
doesn't just end
for them like it does for us
with a click of the remote as we switch off,
becoming consumed, and engulfed,
again,
in 'real' life.
Its just "entertainment," remember?
