there is never a still moment

saturday, 28th decemeber, 2013

day 118 of 365

The rolling hills around covered us in blankets and blankets of flora and fauna as we tucked into the nooks and crannies of my grandparents house, so we assigned them sort of stillness and stability - "peaceful" and stagnant, against the chaotic hum of the 'blooming, buzzing confusion' of cities we came from that apparently epitomise human achievement, advancement and "progress." But beyond the distractions of our finite, momentary perception, below the surface impressions and ripples on the surface water as the wind blew past us - underneath it all -everything was and is always in a constant state of flux.

Unconscious, natural, free and never, ever still.

I realised then that what we perceive cannot be held as a Truth, for our minds exclude and deny the complex subtleties of life for convenience. "I'll believe it when I see it."

Really, it seems there is never a still moment.
